Amitabh Bachchan, the famed superstar of Indian cinema, has been cast in a major role in celebrated filmmaker Nag Ashwin’s future film starring Prabhas and Deepika Padukone, in what can only be termed as breaking news. On social media, the writers of this unnamed film teased the announcement, stating, “Feel welcome with a big heart, the pride of a billion Indians.” Amitabh Bachchan is a Film icon. “Our journey has just grown exponentially!”

The 27-second teaser begins, “How can we strive to build a magnificent film without the superstar Amitabh Bachchan?” The short teaser also includes a look at some of the 77-year-old thespian’s most famous roles. Prabhas took to Instagram to express how sharing screen space with the icon is a dream come true for him.

The multilingual production, directed by Nag Ashwin of ‘Mahanati’ fame, is billed as a first-of-its-kind sci-fi drama set against the backdrop of a global War. While work is planned to begin once the current COVID-19 scenario returns to normality, the film will be produced on a large scale with a large budget. Meanwhile, rumors have circulated that prominent actor Arvind Swami is being considered for a key part in the film. The mammoth project known as #Prabhas21 is being mentored by legendary director Singeetham Srinivasa Rao.

Prabhas recently flew to Italy to begin filming for his forthcoming flick ‘Radhe Shyam.’ The love drama, with Pooja Hegde as the leading woman, is set in Paris during the 1920s. Aside from these two projects, the 40-year-old actor is teaming up with Om Raut, the director of ‘Tanhaji,’ for ‘Adipurush,’ in which he will portray Lord Rama and Saif Ali Khan will play Lankesh.
