His daughter shared the pictures of the same on her Instagram account and captioned, “Proud daughter of a high and prompt taxpayer. Many thanks to the Income Tax Department of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry for honoring appa on Income Tax Day 2022 on behalf of my father.”

While actor Akshay Kumar is the highest taxpayer from Bollywood, the I-T department gave him a Samman Patra, which is an honor certificate. Akshay’s team received the award as the actor was busy shooting. Akshay was last seen in Yash Raj Films Samrat Prithviraj. According to reports, the actor is marked as the highest taxpayer in the last five years.
