Lynn, a British mother, and Richard Garfield, an American father, welcomed Andrew Russell Garfield into the world in Los Angeles, California. He and his older brother and parents relocated to Surrey, England, when he was three years old. He is of Jewish origin and is English and Polish. The City of London Freemen’s School was the private institution Andrew attended while growing up in a middle-class family. While still in school, he started performing in plays for young audiences. He entered the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama when he was 19 years old.
His first professional roles were on the stage; then, in the U.K.’s Sugar Rush (2005) teen drama on Channel 4, he made his T.V. debut. A number of film appearances and other T.V. work followed, including one that reached a wider U.K. audience in the third season of Doctor Who (2005). Garfield gained widespread recognition for his roles as Eduardo in The Social Network (2010) and Tommy in Never Let Me Go (2010). He was chosen to play the lead role in the reboot of the Spider-Man movie series, The Amazing Spider-Man, in the same year (2012). Before handing the baton to Tom Holland, he reprised the role in the 2014 sequel, The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone are quietly making their way up the list of the hottest couples in Hollywood after meeting on the set of The Amazing Spider-Man. According to the legend, when casting the superhero blockbuster, director Marc Webb observed the spark between the two. Why are they a good match, then? Maybe they both like laughing together.
Garfield’s mixed citizenship (his mother is English and his father is from California) undoubtedly results in a balanced blend of sarcastic British humor and all-American fun, and Stone’s comedic charms are well known. In fact, the pair was frequently seen making fun of each other and grinning while on the press tour promoting the new film. Reviewing their developing romance from this year, we focus on the cutest moments.
