Angelina Jolie has had a slew of memorable red carpet appearances. Since becoming a mother, the actress has been accustomed to attending premieres, award ceremonies, and charity galas with her six children.
‘I love directing, but I had a change in my family situation that’s not made it possible for me to direct for a few years,’ the actor told Entertainment Weekly. ‘I needed to just do shorter jobs and be home more, so I kind of went back to doing a few acting jobs. That’s really the truth of it.’
She referred to her children as “awesome folks” a month later. ‘I am very, very lucky because we’re such a team,’ Jolie told E!’s Daily Pop. ‘I’m the one who usually worries, but I’m not concerned about them.’ They’re really kind folks.’
On Lorraine Kelly’s ITV show on May 12, the actor discussed how she’s spent more time at home in recent years, saying, ‘The last few years I haven’t been able to direct. I’ve spent a lot more time at home. I’ve worked on a few projects, but I’ve spent most of my time at home.
‘These are crucial years to be at home. I’ve needed to be at home for a period of time for our family, but these are the years when they’re truly maturing into grownups. I’m glad to be there and will do my best to ensure… ‘All I can do is my best.’
