1) All Rounder (1984):
Directed by Mohan Kumar, with Kumar Gaurav as the lead, Ajay. Ajay is banned from playing cricket after which he spirals downwards as she starts drinking to cope with the pair. The story is moving as we get to watch Ajay put his life back on track.

2) Kabhie Ajnabi The (1985)
This movie stars two cricket players from the 1983 World cup; Sandeep Patil and Syed Kirmani. Patil played the role of a famous cricketer who was caught in the midst of a love triangle. Kirmani was the villain in the movie. Even Sachin Tendulkar made a cameo in the movie.

3) Awwal Number (1990):
This movie revolved around two characters one of whom was an established cricketer and the other an upcoming star. However, the plot of the movie is actually about a terrorist plot to blow up a stadium where a match with Australia is being held.

4) Lagaan (2001):
This legendary film of Bollywood is a movie no one can forget. The movie revolves around a simple villager (Aamir Khan) who learns the intricacies of cricket and soon teaches it to others in his team. The intense cricketing action and patriotic tones are what make this a blockbuster.

5) Iqbal (2005):
This amazing movie shows Iqbal, the main lead, a deaf boy who reaches his dreams of playing for India. The character is a natural pace bowler and is adamant to see his skills be of use to the Indian cricket team but his father believes he’s wasting his time. It was quite an impressive movie and Shreyas Talpade played the character of Iqbal really well.

6) Chain Kulii Ki Main Kulii (2007)
This fun movie revolves around Karan, an orphan who finds a cricket bat that he is convinced belongs to Kapil Dev which he used in the final match. The movie lead to him getting on the Indian cricket team paired with the opening batsman Varun (Rahul Bose).
