Margot Robbie’s stint as the feisty and dementedly merry Harley Quinn appears to have taken its toll.
The Australian actress and her Suicide Squad co-star Will Smith went on BBC Radio 1 to promote the new film, and while they were there, they played a game of Playground Insults. Robbie wasted no time in making fun of Smith, claiming that his ears were huge enough to be antennas that could pick up the internet from her mother’s house in Australia.
Robbie knew where he was going as Smith was about to answer.
“Don’t bring up my mother!” she exclaims.
“This is the issue — we know too much about each other,” he says, his first attack being the decor on her outfit. “Alternatively, you may put your Finding Dory pins on your sweater to make underwater telepathic contact with your mother.”
“I know you just want to say something terrible about my mother,” she continues.
While Smith was the ultimate gentleman, finding it difficult to trash his co-star, Robbie didn’t hold back, hurling barbs at his age and further insults about his appearance, declaring him the “worst-looking cast member in I Am Legend.”
Smith retorts, “The only reason you’re saying that is because you know I slept with your mother,” hitting the punch he was going for.
But Robbie wasn’t finished yet. “She didn’t even return your call. She assumed your name was Big Willie, but it turns out the nickname led her astray.”
