And a business is taking it as a cue to help men who need help or might be suffering. A bar in has displayed a sign that states that the customer can express themselves if they are in trouble by ordering a shot called ” Johnny Depp Shot.”
Yes, you hear right! A drink at the bar is named after Pirates of Caribbean actor Johnny Depp to help a needful man.
The sign board says, “Feeling unsafe or scared, just come to the bar and order a Johnny Depp shot.” It also has other shots named Near, On The Rocks, and With Lime.
It means if a person orders a Johnny Depp Shot he will be escorted safely from the bar with one of the employees. And the other options will help to call the police or taxi to help him. It also states that ‘discreetly and without fuss’.
People on the internet reminded this that the offer was initially started as Angel Shit, which was for women who needed help and were unsafe.
While TikTok user Benji Spears said, “Angel shots are becoming more common and more known throughout all bars and it’s being brought to bartenders’ attention.”
The TikTok also said, “OK so an angel shot is key, it can save you or your best friend’s life and it’s something we should all know about.”
However, the good initiative is been admired on the web, Twitter and Reddit.
