Bella Hadid is currently one of the most well-known models in the entire globe. It almost seems as though she was born on the runway, having appeared on Vogue covers, primary campaigns, runway shows, and everything in between. However, it is obviously not the case since, well, that would be extremely unusual and raise a lot of concerns. Bella has learned a few tips and tricks for succeeding in the modeling industry after working her way up through the ranks and, fortunately for all of us, she’s eager to share them with the world.
Bella revealed her formula for modeling success after walking the runway for Brandon Maxwell’s breathtaking Texas-themed runway extravaganza during New York Fashion Week, and it’s actually rather straightforward. She told Teen Vogue after the show, “It would be just to be yourself and to not attempt to be anybody else. And although it seems cliche, you occasionally witness girls backstage who are finally able to be themselves and exhibit their true selves after three years in the industry. This is the best aspect about them. People have been known to try to fit themselves into boxes when there are none here.
Additionally, she said that treating people well is more important than perfection if you want to succeed in this field. She advises that it is “about the relationships you establish, about the kindness that you share, and obviously working extremely hard you have to have a fantastic mindset to be in this profession,” and that it doesn’t matter “if your walk is a bit unsteady.”
Although breaking into the modelling industry can seem unattainable, Bella advises to just dive in, be yourself, and go for it. But she does want aspiring models to understand that it takes a lot of work and that you have to be willing to put in the effort. If somebody wants to pursue modelling, they should give it their all if that is their desire. People attempt to pick and choose, but there is definitely a place for everyone if you work hard enough in the industry for it to work for everyone. Work hard, act kind, and never lose sight of who you are, advises one of the highest-paid models in the world.
