TV and film actor Zuber K Khan is all set to yet again shine on the big screen. He plays one of the leads in a new horror film titled Haunted Hill which will hit the theatres on 28th of February.
“My character returns from the dead in this nonlinear format. The Sanjeev Kumar Rajput directed flick also includes other TV stars such as Diana Khan (possessed character), and Gavie Chahal,” says Zuber who has been around TV for a long time starting with episodic.
His first significant TV assignment was Kasam Teri Pyaar Ki back in 2016.
Here Zuber, who has one more feature (Dosti Ke Side Effects) to his credit, accepts “that lack of big-names does make it difficult to get enough theaters, but we hope to garner around 12-15 hundred screens on the back of a good trailer and buzz. I have always believed that good content will click, no wonder we have stars like Ayushman Khurrana and Kartik Aryan.”
Interestingly Zuber has also dabbled in the supernatural space on TV i.e. Manmohini and Naagin.
“I played a man who turned into a lion for eight months before in the above LSD produced season and I got busy with my films as well.”
Apart from Haunted Hill, he has one more film, which will release in April. “I play a psychco in Dhadke Dil Baar Baar.”
“For the moment I will prefer to stick to the cinema, let both the above films come out, I have one more lead TV project in my kitty as well. I might do it if the role impresses me enough.”
Difference between TV and films? “The latter is etched in history in a book. Also, the taking and other techniques are different in cinema, so one grows better as an artist there.”
Besides TV and films, Zuber is also active on the webspace. “I have done both a web film (Mirror) and web series. I am game for more digital projects sans the bold stuff,” ended Zuber.
