BJ Hogg: The Game of Thrones Actor dies

Game of Thrones actor, BJ Hogg who essayed the character Ser Addam Marbrand died at the age of 65. The cause of death is unknown as of now. The Irish actor was a well-known face in the entertainment industry. BJ Hogg was most popular for playing Big Mervyn in the BBC Northern Ireland series Give My Head Peace for 20 years. The show’s team paid tribute to the actor upon his death and many other fellow actors paid tribute after learning about his death.

BJ Hogg acted in several films shot in Northern Ireland including Hunger, Closing the Ring and Divorcing Jack. Another role was as widower father Lexie in the short film Dance Lexie Dance, which was nominated for an Oscar in 1998 for best live action short film. The actor’s agent, Geoff Stanton revealed to BBC News, “He was such a great man, a big personality and a terrific actor.” Born in Lisburn in 1955, BJ Hogg’s career on stage and screen in Northern Ireland spanned almost four decades.
