The Indian film business, often known as Hindi cinema or Bollywood, is one of the world’s major film production industries, centered in Mumbai.

While the first Indian cinema was created centuries ago, many names are still associated with the business and are still highly famous.

There have always been Bollywood fans in India and throughout the world who support their favorite Bollywood actors or Bollywood stars, whether it’s today or years ago.

As a Bollywood fan, we’re sure you’ll recognize many of these, but there will be a few surprises as well, so check out the list of these well-known names and the films in which they made their debut:

1. Raj Kapoor

Raj Kapoor was an actor, producer, and director who debuted at the age of ten in the 1935 film Inquilab, as the son of Prithviraj Kapoor, a well-known actor at the time. He had his major break as an adult when he played the lead in Neel Kamal (1947), partnering with Madhubala in her first main role.

2. Dilip Kumar

Jwaar Bhata (‘High and low tides’) is an Indian black and white film directed by Amiya Chakravarty, and Dilip Kumar’s debut film was released in 1944.

3. Dharmendra

Dharmendra or Dharam Singh Deol entered the film industry after sending his photographs to Filmfare magazine for a feature. Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere was Dharmendra’s first film.

4. ShahRukh Khan

Shah Rukh Khan: Despite being given the name Shah Rukh Khan, the actor prefers to be known as Shah Rukh or SRK. He has appeared in over 80 films and sang hundreds of songs. In 1992, he made his acting debut with Deewana.

5. Amitabh Bachchan

Amitabh Bachchan: A notable actor who made his acting debut in 1969 with Saat Hindustani (Seven Indians), which is also a film that made him famous, yet he is best known for his film Sholay opposite Dharmendra.
