Our country is democratic, and people here have the freedom to choose the religion they want to follow. And many people have done that, including celebrities. They converted their religion due to their preferences or reasons. And so we have found there also south actresses who have converted their religion.

First up is recently married Nayanthara, a Kollywood lady superstar. She is reportedly converted to Hinduism. And in real her name was Diana Mariam Kurian.
Second up is Jyothika. She was born as Sadanah to a Punjabi father and Muslim mother. Actress Nagma is her half-sister. Jyothika believes in all religions, and she got married to a Hindu, Suriya.
Khushbu Sundar was born to a Muslim named Nakhat Khan. The actress was given the stage name Khushbu by her parents. While afterwards, the actress converted herself to Hinduism to get married to Sundar C and is using Sundar as her name.
Nagma was born as a Hindu named Nandita Arvind Morarji but later adopted Christianity when he found faith in it.
Monica was born as a Hindu to a Hindu father and Christian mother. But, later, she adopted Islam and named herself M G Raheema. She shared that she liked the principles of Islam.
