Many Hollywood celebrities’ careers have been influenced by their religious beliefs and sense of morality. Chris Pratt, Carrie Underwood, Mark Wahlberg, Mel Gibson, and Hailey Bieber are a few celebrities that consistently put their moral convictions first in all they do.
Chris Pratt recently clarified his religious beliefs after being accused of visiting Hillsong Church, a celebrity haven that has been the subject of anti-LGBTQ+ controversy as well as several misconduct claims over the years.
He claimed as much in a June interview with Men’s Health, “Religion has been repressive as f—k for a long time.” “I didn’t realize that, despite the fact that I’m not religious, I would essentially become the face of religion.”
Additionally, he denied any connection to the international organization, which has dozens of churches around the globe and has welcomed a number of celebrities through its doors, including Justin Bieber, Hailey Bieber, and former pastor Carl Lentz, who officiated at the Biebers’ wedding in September 2018.
Pratt gave a statement titled “Nine Rules from Chris Pratt” to the younger generation while on stage to win the Generation Award at the 2018 MTV Music and TV Awards.
“God exists.” He answered, “God loves you and wants the best for you. Accept that. I do. Nobody is flawless. People will tell you that you are perfect exactly as you are, but you are not. You are flawed,” he remarked.
“You have always been. However, a strong force created you in that way. You will have grace if you are prepared to accept that. Grace is also a gift. And that grace, like the freedom we enjoy in this nation, was bought with the blood of someone else. Don’t overlook it,” He said.
