While Enrique Arce’s Arturo may be one of the most loathed characters on the program, he had some interesting football analogies to share in the fifth season’s second episode as he spoke of striking the group holding him and others captive at the Royal Bank of Spain.
Arturo persuaded his fellow hostages to launch an attack by referencing football by saying, “Even though we have tiny Messi? and Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo?” while pointing to the weaponry available. “We’re not defending, we’re playing tiki-taka,” the character says later in the scenario.
The mention of the three well-known players sent netizens into a frenzy, as they couldn’t help but rejoice at the appearance of their favorite athletes on Money Heist. Although Arturo’s comparison of Messi and Neymar to grenades while Ronaldo has unlimited ammunition may not sit well with Barcelona fans.
