Deepika Padukone debuted with Om Shanti Om opposite Shah Rukh Khan. Since then, the diva has been thriving all upwards, and now happens to be one of the leading actresses in the country. Recently the actress has been shot to headlines as she announced her upcoming film Pathaan along with SRK again.
With that, recently the actress spoke to Allure revealing her first-ever meet with SRK, here read below to know-
She said, “I remember just sitting at the edge of the sofa, being so nervous, and almost in a daze. I couldn’t even process what was happening.” She continued, “They never auditioned me. Even today, I look at [the director, Farah Khan,] and I’m like, ‘What were you guys thinking?'”
Deepika further added that how after the release of Om Shanti Om, she became almost lost in the industry. She thought that the way things have been for her in Om Shanti Om, it would thrive likewise, but then realised it otherwise.
She further said, “My first experience was almost served to me on a platter. I was so well presented and so well taken care of that I thought that’s just the way it’s going to be; that the director would always make sure that I act well, and that my diction is on point and I’m looking amazing.”
She then said, “There’s parts of it that the director will bring, but there’s a lot of it that I need to bring to the table [myself].” as quoted by Filmi Beat.
