From Sushant Singh Rajput to Deepika Padukone, background dancers who became well-known actors

A tale of rags to riches is always motivating. We are therefore quite keen to learn about one of the several hardly-seen background dancers in a Bollywood dance performance who has achieved success.

There are many people in Bollywood nowadays who rose from obscurity to prominence.

Several Bollywood stars have opened out and discussed their modest beginnings. Speaking of famous people who had humble beginnings, some of them worked as background dancers before getting their big break.

There are numerous rumors circulating about famous celebrities including Deepika Padukone, Sushant Singh Rajput, Shahid Kapoor, Remo D Souza, Arshad Warsi, and Ranveer Singh.

Shahid Kapoor

Although he was the son of renowned actor Pankaj Kapoor, he also worked as a background dancer and a kid actor (in the Complan commercial ad). He is well-known for being one of the backup dancers in Aishwarya Rai’s Taal (1999).

At Shiamak Davar’s dance school, Shahid Kapoor also studied. Le Gayi from Dil To Pagal Hai is one of the songs in which he performed as a background dancer (1997).

Sushant Singh Rajput

Shiamak Davar, a renowned choreographer in Bollywood, taught Sushant Singh Rajput. He has performed as a background dancer at the IIFA Awards, the theme song for Dhoom 2, and even with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan during her performance at the Commonwealth Games 2006 in Melbourne.

Deepika Padukone

Before entering Bollywood, Deepika was a popular runway model. Additionally, she was depicted in a Kingfisher calendar. However, Himesh Reshammiya’s debut album, Aap Kaa Surroor, was released in 2006, and the Naam Hai Tera music video included Deepika as the primary dancer.

Remo D’ Souza

Many hats are worn by Remo. He directs films, performs in choreography, and acts. Remo, a popular choreographer in Bollywood, has performed in front of dancers as well. After starring in the song Meri Mehbooba from the movie Pardes (1997) with Shah Rukh Khan, he began making appearances on screen as an actor.

Arshad Warsi

Before becoming an accomplished actor with good comedy timing, he worked as a choreographer. Little is known about the fact that he was twirling to the tune of “Help Me” from “Aag Se Khelenge,” a song by Jeetendra and Kimi Katkar.

Ranveer Singh

Lastly, Ranveer also performed as a backup dancer in a few Amitabh movies. Singh has never independently verified this, and the visuals are ambiguous.
