What comes to mind when we think about weddings? The bride and groom, their smiling faces, the food, the dancing, and, most significantly, their wedding attire. When we initially arrive at the wedding, we rush over to the bride and inspect her appearance and attire. That’s what any reasonable person would do. We also expect bright, striking colors in the bridal gowns that are intended to steal our breath away.
For her Mumbai reception, Deepika donned an ivory and gold drape by Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. The saree was embellished with beautiful embroidery and a gorgeous gold border. Over her head, DP wore a similar embroidered dupatta. In this chiffon chikankari costume, she looked stunning. Saboo, a multi-tiered flower necklace and earring set, completed her beautiful outfit. Her crimson chooda gave the outfit a pop of color. In a Rohit Bal design, Ranveer Singh also complimented her in a similar hue.
You won’t find Alia Bhatt’s ivory lehenga, featured earlier this year unless you’re a fan of the chikankari pattern. Her massive skirts featured gorgeous white embroidery on a soft pink basis, but her bustier top had to be the show-stealer. Bhatt’s top, which had slender straps and was adorned with little diamonds all over and completed with golden fringes, put a playful, modern touch to her skirt’s traditional Lucknowi pattern. Her tulle veil was ruffled with pearl embroidery and ranged in color from pastel pink to green.
Bhatt accessorized her holiday attire with a set of dramatic Chand Bali earrings from Amrapali Jewels, leaving her neck and hands bare. Her makeup matched her effortless style: radiant skin, a hint of coral eye makeup, pink lips, and a low bun.
