Deepika Padukone's Powerful MANTRA For Depression

In today’s fast-paced world where everyone is constantly on the move, human beings often tend to forget that amidst all the hustle and bustle of life, it is also of extreme importance to give time for yourself. When that fails to happen, something slowly and steadily starts creeping inside the mind thereby affecting one’s health and peace of mind and we tend to call that ‘depression’. While depression and mental health is often ignored, slowly and steadily, the awareness has started to increase and one actress who has played a key role in the awareness is Deepika Padukone.

Deepika Padukone has been quite vocal about her own depression and mental health and has successfully battled it. But how did she do that successfully? Well today, we tell you her special mantra which can help you to get over depression.

As per reports in TOI, Deepika was quoted as saying,

“Mental illness happened to me when I had least expected it. In my case it came with no warning signs. The general understanding was that I was at a professional high, I had successful consecutive hit movies, I was in an amazing relationship, my family has always been extremely supportive in my life. Everything was absolutely perfect. I remember waking up one morning and I fainted. There was complete black out and I hit my head. I used to live alone and luckily the house help had arrived. She saw me lying on the floor and sort of revived me. I gained consciousness, slept through the day, got an appointment with a general practitioner who said it was general exhaustion or blood pressure fluctuation. These were the physical signs.”

Further elaborating on her condition Deepika said and we quote, “I was also experiencing a hollow, empty feeling in my stomach. I would break into a sweat every now and then. I would have these panic phases where I would just need to get out and gasp for breath. I would just break down and cry.”

As per reports in Hindustan Times, she also stated that later, she sought professional help and took medication to come out of it.
