Actor George Clooney appeared on Jada Pinkett Smith’s “Red Table Talk” to wish her a happy 50th birthday, but he had to do so from an unexpected location. Clooney stated, “I’m talking to you from inside my closet because there are twins pounding each other with swords outside my closet. And it didn’t seem like a good way to spend your birthday!”
According to femalefirst.co.uk, the 60-year-old actor George Clooney joked that he wouldn’t be celebrating the ‘Girls’ Trip’ star’s 50th birthday because he didn’t like what it signified for him. “Now they say you’re becoming 50,” George Clooney said, “which isn’t possible because that would imply I’m 60, which isn’t feasible.”
“So you’re 39–congratulations–and I’m 49. That appeals to me a lot more.” He then humorously inquired about Pinkett Smith’s ability to put up with her husband, Will Smith, to which the “Nutty Professor” star responded candidly and thoughtfully.
“And once you’ve figured out how to put up with yourself, you’ve figured out how to put up with everyone else. (By) devoting the necessary time to learning to love myself.”
George Clooney was one of a slew of celebrities that showed up to help Pinkett Smith celebrate the occasion. Mariah Carey, the singer, sent in a video greeting expressing her best wishes.
