The Malayalam actor, Dulquer Salmaan is one of the latest personalities of India who was honored with the UAE Golden Visa. The ‘Golden Visa’ was introduced by the UAE government back in 2019. It is a new system for a long-term residence visa. It not only lets outside live work and studies in the Gulf states without a national sponsor but it also gives you 100 percent ownership of their business on the UAE mainland.
According to a Koimoi report, Dulquer has been given a Golden Visa for 10 years by the Department of Culture and Tourism by the Abu Dhabi Government. The actor shared a picture of the moment on his Instagram feed. He wrote in the post, ‘Had the privilege and honor of receiving my golden visa from His Excellency Saood Abdul Aziz in the presence of Mr. Yusuf Ali. It was wonderful to hear of all the future plans of the Abu Dhabi govt to promote film and production activities, and also to encourage new talent locally and internationally. Looking forward to productions, shoots, and spending more time in Abu Dhabi and the UAE.’
His father, Mammootty, also received a UAE Golden Visa. Mammootty received the visa at the same time as the Malayalam superstar, Mohanlal which was followed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Tovino Thomas.
From Bollywood, Sanjay Dutt is one of the stars who received a golden visa for his contribution to the world of arts, culture, and cinema.
