Janhvi Kapoor, the rising Bollywood actress is quite the force to reckon with. She is slowly making her way up the ladder to stardom. Every parent has dreams for their kids especially when it comes to their careers! Sridevi wanted her daughter Janhvi to be a doctor, not an actor! It took her and her mother, the legendary actress Sridevi, to come to terms that she will join the industry. Sridevi wasn’t convinced about her daughters joining the film industry.
As per a Pinkvilla report, the actress had revealed that when Janhvi was a child, her mother wanted her to become a doctor. She states that she doesn’t know why but she found herself telling her mom, ‘I am sorry mom, but I don’t have the intellect to become a doctor.’”
The actress mentioned that it was her father, Boney Kapoor, who had eased Sridevi into the idea and into agreeing to Janhvi’s plan of pursuing a career in acting. The same report also mentions that the actress said, “He was very chilled out. He is like a typical Kapoor. He was very supportive. He eased mom into the idea of it. I think my parents have worked very hard to get where they are, but I think people often underestimate how hard it can be to be a producer or actor especially in their times. This is not a 9-5 job. It’s a lifestyle to be in this profession.”
The report also added that she said, “He was excited that I chose to prove myself or do something with my life. Mom was like, ‘I have worked this hard because I wanted my children to have it easy so that they have a relaxed life.’ But I think I wanted a fulfilling one. That meant much more to me. I don’t think I would have been a satisfied person had I just lived off whatever my parents gave me.”
