There are quite a few times when an actor meets with an accident and gets injured during a shoot. It is especially a possibility while shooting an action movie! Vicky Kaushal has injured himself badly during a shoot which turned out to be a key feature of his next role.
The Bollywood hunk starred in the 2021 movie, Sardar Udham which revolved around a revolutionary freedom fighter who took revenge for the 1919 massacre at Jallianwalla Bagh by assassinating Michael O’Dwyer in London. Vicky Kaushal lanced the main character, Sardar Udham’s role.
In the movie, the actor was seen with a nasty scar that everyone initially thought was fake. But the actor reveals in a trailer the story behind his new scar. The actor had injured himself a bit before the shooting for the movie began. He had a total of 13 stitches due to the accident. The scar eventually became a part of the character, Sardar Udham.
According to a Hindustan Times report, the actor had said, “I got 13 stitches on my face due to an injury. The scar you see in the film is real.” The trade analyst, Tarun Adarsh, has said that he got injured during a shoot of the movie, Bhoot: The Haunted Ship, as per the same report.
The report also mentions that the actor had also talked about the scar during a Ask Me Anything interaction with his fans. The actor had said he, ‘Met with an accident during Shoot… Hairline Fractured cheekbone. 12 internal and 13 external stitches. Kaafi Haunting.’
