Pakhi Hegde (born 7 June 1970 in Vasai, a Mumbai neighborhood near Borivali) is an Indian television and film actress who works mainly in Bhojpuri films. She has won numerous awards, including the Bhojpuri Cinema Award and the Bhojpuri City Award. She has also appeared in films in Hindi, Marathi, Punjabi, and English. In the critically acclaimed Marathi films “Sat Na Gat” and “Gulabi,” she collaborated with Sachin Khedekar, Mahesh Manjrekar, and Sayaji Shinde. She also starred alongside Big B, Jaya Bachchan, and Gulshan Grover in the Hindi social drama “Ganga Devi” (also released in English as “The Great Leader” and in Gujarati as “Naam Chhe Maru Ganga”) and “Woman From The East,” for which she received a special jury prize. She was known as “Kudesan” in Punjabi. Pakhi was also present.
Pakhi also took part in the 2014 Piff & Iffsa Festival. In addition, she appeared in the Tulu film “Bangarda Kural.” She won two prizes for this film: Red FM and Best Actress in a Leading Role in a Tulu Film Festival Award 2015 and Tulu Film Award 2014.
She lives in Mumbai with her family and has two daughters, Aashna Hedge and Khushi Hegde.
