Adele has stated that she would prefer to see ‘Loki’ actor Jonathan Major replace Daniel Craig as 007, but due to his American citizenship, she has chosen British actor Idris Elba as her second option. Elba, who has previously been rumored to play the fictional suave spy in the franchise.
“I mean, it’s a tough one, there have been a lot of different choices and whatnot,” the ‘Easy On Me’ hitmaker told Vogue for their ’73 Questions’ series.
“However, I believe Jonathan Major should be the next Bond. But, because he’s American, I’m not sure if that’s acceptable. However, I believe Idris Elba. Elba enraged followers when he shared a selfie with the message “My name is Elba, Idris Elba” in 2018.”
According to femalefirst.co.uk, this fueled rumors that he was being considered for the part. He swiftly denied the rumors, however. “Don’t trust the HYPE…” he wrote. “I mean, it’s a tough one, there have been a lot of different choices and whatnot,” the ‘Easy On Me’ hitmaker told Vogue for their ’73 Questions’ series.
However, I believe Jonathan Major should be the next Bond. Meanwhile, one expert recently suggested that Bond was destined to be a woman from the beginning. Daniel, 53, drove his Aston Martin for the final time in the film ‘No Time To Die,’ but he recently dismissed ideas that a woman might take over as 007, claiming that “better parts” should be developed for actresses instead.
