The big Diwali clash at the box office is all set to happen in a couple of days as Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is set to lock horns with Singham Again in perhaps one of the biggest box-office battles recently.
In an exclusive conversation with IWMBuzz, actor Kartik Aaryan aka Rooh Baba himself sat down and talked about several things ranging from how much of the baggage Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 carries as a film from earlier instalments and his days of shoot among other things.
Q. There is always baggage when you come with a sequel or a third instalment. And to that, people have opinions as well. Does that become a factor for you, especially in this case as Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is coming much quicker?
I think the expectations are much higher with this one. With Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, there weren’t many expectations and certainly not that it would be a major hit – so it was fabulous at that time. With BB3, the idea is to meet people’s expectations and the entertainment that people got in the second one – to get that in the third part. That has been a challenge all this time, and we were actually delighted when the first narration happened – and the script was heard. During that, our nervous energy was settled and then there was an excitement to go on set and shoot for the film. Hence, I guess that was the most important thing – we only moved on with Part 3 once we had a concrete story and screenplay. Now that we have made the film, I can proudly say that we have made a good film and I really hope that more and more people go and watch it.
Q. Was there a day while shooting for BB3 that specifically stood out to you in a way that you felt – this day was special?
There are plenty of them. The shoot of the title track itself, when it was over, I felt great because I was so nervous. I was relieved the way it turned out to be, so that was indeed special. There were so many scenes as well when I was performing where I felt it – there were big portions where I would wonder how this happen and then when it did, I felt so happy because we cracked it. The scene that you see at the end of the trailer – with Madhuri Dixit Ma’am and Vidya Balan Ma’am felt so special and even thinking how it will be received by the people made us feel great.
