Rakul Preet Singh announces her film Chhatriwali’s release on ‘World AIDS Day’, read details inside

The social drama film “Chhatriwali,” starring actors Rakul Preet Singh and Sumeet Vyas, will be released on ZEE5 next year. The same has been confirmed by the OTT platform. The film “Chhatriwali” intends to deliver a powerful social better understanding of the relevance of male birth control and safe sex.

Rakul Preet Singh portrays quality control head in a condom factory in the movie. The synopsis says, “Though she is shy and embarrassed about her job initially, she soon realises the importance of safe s*x and then takes it upon herself to destigmatise the conversation around s*x education,”

Rakul Preet speaking about the plot and storyline, said, “This World Aids Day, I join the fight against HIV by raising awareness on the importance of safe s*x and the use of male contraceptives via my upcoming film, Chhatriwali,”

Manish Kalra, Zee5’s CBO spoke about the movie, and stated how excited he has been to welcome such progressive script on the screen, “The film delivers a punch about the importance of s*x education with humour and sensitivity. With a mix of social message, strong woman character, comedy, subtlety, and lots of drama, Chhatriwali is sure to entertain and educate our audience,”

He further added, “We are happy to back strong female led stories with a meaningful narrative and Chhatriwali is just that. Without sounding too preachy, we have made a mass family entertainer laced with an important message because the idea is to normalize conversations about s*x education and safe sex,” as quoted by NDTV.
