Lara Croft is a character from a well-loved video game. The announcement of a big-screen adaptation back in the 90s had quite a few fans jittery with excitement. While the movies didn’t do quite well, they did have their moments. Here are some interesting facts about Angelina Jolie playing the character Lara Croft, as per a Screen Rant report. Check it out:

1) The infamous bust size:
The actual character of Lara Croft was actually quite heavy-chested. They ended up using a padded bra for the first movie. While Jolie was a 36C the character was said to be 36 double D. They went for a 36D bra which was padded.

2) The third movie:
The movie was supposed to be a part of a trilogy, however, Jolie realized that she was happy with how the second part turned out. She realized that she didn’t want to go through another movie which is how the plans for the third movie got canceled.

3) Injuries:
Jolie had to go through quite a bit of training for 2 months before they finally started filming. However, even with the training, she manages to sustain some injuries to a ligament in her ankles after she stepped on it wrong while filming the Bungee Ballet.

4) Costume and Tattoo issues:
Jolie was against acting in shorts since they were quite uncomfortable to shoot in. But she eventually gave in. However, her tattoos seemed to cause an issue. While Jolie didn’t mind her inked skin, back in the 90s it didn’t have a positive connotation. They used makeup to cover them up. But they could still be seen. So in the next movie, they gave the actress an outfit that covered her up. The fans weren’t too happy with it.

5) Drug testing:
Jolie had quite an image back when the first movie came out. The movie producer, Sherry Lansing was concerned that the actress was fragile. However, as per a Screen Rant report, Jolie simply replied, “Look, I want to do it, but I know what my reputation is, and I’ll do anything you want to prove that I’m worthy. I’ll be reliable, and I’ll turn up, and I’ll work hard,” adding, “I don’t care if the studio wants to drug test me every day.”

6) Overcoming her fear of the jungle wildlife:
Jolie was pretty okay with the physical exertion or even the injuries including the damage to her ligaments, rope burns, and bruises. However, what did rattle her was the jungle terrains and the wildlife that seemed to end up in the car during the filming. These incidents kept her jittery but she overcame her fears eventually.
