The newest entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Ms Marvel, is receiving positive reviews. The show follows the life of adolescent Kamala Khan, who is portrayed by Iman Vellani, the first Muslim superhero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The programme also features a slew of other well-known figures from the Indian subcontinent, like Farhan Akhtar and Fawad Khan. And now, in the teaser for the fourth episode of the programme, Farhan Akhtar’s part, which has been a closely-guarded secret for a while, has been finally disclosed. Farhan plays Waleed in the video, which has been posted online by the Disney and Marvel social media pages.

The opening scene of the video shows Kamala being led into a mystery chamber by Aramis Knight’s Kareem, also known as Red Dagger. Kareem explains, “Usually, tourists are not allowed,” as Kamala exclaims that it provides an excellent hiding place. Farhan Akhtar appears as Waleed and adds,  “But for a descendant of Ayesha’s, I’m sure we can make an exception,” as Kamala continues to look around the room.

Farhan introduces himself by saying, “My name is Waleed. Your great-grandmother’s story is of legend. When you’re ready, we have much to discuss.”

Some days back, Farhan Akhtar has already shared the series’ trailer, which shows a glimpse of himself as Waleed. ‘What you want is seeking you!’, which Farhan quotes from Rumi, also served as the caption for his post.

Farhan’s entrance wowed the audience. “Seeing a wonderful actor like Farhan Akhtar in the MCU makes me incredibly happy! I enjoy this show and all the desi feels,” a viewer commented on YouTube. Another fan commented, “I would love to see the conversation between Farhan and Kevin Fiege when he was cast for the show,” and several others urged viewers to watch the show, perhaps in response to the fact that it hasn’t been receiving as much interest from viewers as the other MCU shows on Disney+.
