It’s safe to anticipate that Jada Pinkett Smith will take the red pill over the blue pill in the red pill vs. the blue pill argument. At least, that’s what the jaw-dropping, blood-red attire she wore to the San Francisco premiere of The Matrix Resurrections suggested. The Smith matriarch dazzled in a strapless ruched minidress by Giambattista Valli Haute Couture, complete with a colossal flowing train for added drama. She completed the look with a pair of see-through pumps and matching tights.
A large statement earring (yes, only one—very amazing) and an unobtrusive bracelet completed the set. Her low buzz cut, which she’s been proud—and gorgeously—rocking since shaving her head in July 2021, added to the drama. The actress previously admitted to having hair loss, but it appears that her lengthy tresses were merely holding her back. Her sculpted jaw-line and completely revealed prominent cheekbones further added to the edginess of the crimson ball gown.
For the premiere of Pedro Almodóvar’s film Pain and Glory, Bella Hadid, the Cannes queen of the high leg slit, returned to the red carpet in her signature style. Hadid wore a silky red floor-length halter gown with cutouts, ruching, and a thigh-high leg slit. Her golden-brown hair color curled out in tendrils and was arranged in a beautiful bun. Brown satin high-heeled sandals, ruby dangle earrings, and a diamond bracelet completed the look.
