The Cannes Film Festival that began officially on 14 May 2014, started with the presentation of Grace of Monaco on Wednesday night’s opening night. Of course, some of Hollywood’s greatest names walked the carpet in their best-looking gowns, including Nicole Kidman, Jane Fonda, and Zoe Saldana. The simple, classy black and white Louis Vuitton piece worn by Blue Is the Warmest Color actor Adele Exarchopoulos, who won the prestigious Palme d’Or for her lead actress performance in the film at last year’s festival, was one of our favorites among the numerous statement-making costumes to hit the premiere. After a few more views of the gown, we’re reminded of another prominent face who wore a similar-looking gown in the previous year for the Bling Ring premiere. Emma Watson, who wore a sequin and silk dress from Chanel couture’s spring 2013 collection looks exactly the same as Adele’s dress. Except for the thigh-high slit on Exarchopoulos’ gown, it’s essentially identical. Emma donned a red Christopher Kane gown to the film’s photocall earlier in the day but switched to a Chanel Couture black and white gown for the red carpet celebration. She also wore a basic black dress to the press conference for The Bling Ring. Check out her images here: –
Exarchopoulos went for a glam appearance with her sparkly eye shadow and Chopard jewels, while Watson went for a laid-back yet elegant style with minimum makeup, a loose bun, and basic accessories like silver earrings and rings.
