Fashion is one element that always makes a comeback after a few years. The most popular trends, both on and off the runway, have always made a comeback after appearing to be outdated.
This isn’t only true for clothing; it also applies to accessories, colour combinations, and other factors.
Aishwarya Rai Bachhan and Kareena Kapoor wore red and white together a few years ago, and it was a success. Designer Manish Malhotra sarees were worn by both leading ladies.
Kareena Kapoor Khan
In 2012, the Bollywood Begum looked stunning at the NDTV Indian of the Year Awards. She wore a white chikankari saree with a red border and gold embroidery designed by her close friend and designer Manish Malhotra. To match the border of her saree, the Good Newwz actress wore a blouse in the same red colour. Her appearance was enhanced by a red bindi and tall golden chaandbali earrings. Her hair was pulled back into a tidy bun, and a string of jasmine flowers was tied around her neck to complete her desi style.
Aishwarya Rai Bachan
A nearly similar white and red chikankari saree by designer Manish Malhotra was worn by the Bachchan Bahu for the National Awards a few years back. Her saree was paired with a deep red blouse and chaandbali earrings, as well. The actress’s modest glam appearance for the event was completed by kohl-lined eyes and hair fashioned in a poker-straight and split in the side manner.
