If you like jeans, you’ve definitely noticed a few trends: acid wash jeans, mom jeans, and, of course, the ever-controversial skinny jeans. Baggier silhouettes, on the other hand, are all the rage for fall. Skinny jeans have been labeled “cheugy” by Generation Z, and now Rihanna, Hailey Bieber, and Bella Hadid are seen sporting flared and wide-leg jeans. They showed how to achieve the perfect balance of comfort and shine in the summer, and now Dakota Johnson has an excellent way to wear them for fall.
Today, the actor stepped out in New York City wearing a pair of light-wash RE/DONE jeans with a flared leg and a high waist. They’re called the “70s Ultra High Rise” and retail for $295. They’re inspired by the classic bellbottoms of the 1970s but in a more contemporary fashion. Her roomy pants were balanced off with a fitted checkered jacket and a suede Gucci Re(Belle) purse. Her Adidas x Wales Bonner low-top shoes provided a burst of color while still having a classic style.
Later, she was seen taking a stroll and drinking coffee in Los Angeles with singer Joshua Tillman, 35, also known as Father John Misty. The actress sported dark blue narrow jeans, a striking buckle belt, and a simple white t-shirt. Her brunette hair was pulled back into a ponytail, and she wore enormous sunglasses while carrying a large bag over one shoulder.
Dakota Johnson is back in New York to publicize her new campaign for lingerie company Intimissimi, and she’s making the most of the city’s offerings. She was spotted on the street yesterday wearing one of her signature SoCal ensembles, which included a pair of jeans with a surprisingly fashion-forward twist. The ragged hem and faded blue finish of Johnson’s Girlfriend pair set it unique. The low-key retro vibe was complemented with other throwback-inspired accessories, such as a Fay tartan check coat and wayfarer sunglasses. Johnson’s accessory game is usually on point, and the Givenchy chain-trimmed shoulder bag and elegant loafers were standouts from her extensive collection.
