Blake Lively has solidified her reputation as a fantastic actor, a supermom, and a perfect fashionista. After all, no one handles a red carpet better than the 34-year-old. In dresses, pants, and anything in between, she can make eyes raise. Lively’s style is distinctly her own and perennially fascinating, from her colorful and feminine beaded frocks with just a tint of casual boho flair to her affinity for Christian Louboutin heels. It’s all the more amazing considering that the actress is known for picking her own outfits. That’s correct, she’s a stylist in her own right.
“It’s a lot of work [but] I mean, it’s not hard in that we all dress ourselves every morning,” she told WWD in 2018. “So once you have the clothes, you just pick out what to wear like any other human being does. But it’s easier because you have access to clothes so it’s not that hard.”
She continued: “The hard part is going through all the fashion shows and screenshooting all the looks you like and calling them in. I have an assistant who helps in calling in the looks. But a lot of it is I have relationships with the designers.”
The reason she has not yet sought remedy yet? She blames it on “control issues and a big ego.” With her immaculate sense and passion for style, it’s no wonder that the Gossip Girl star jumps at the opportunity to “be creative.” Despite her fondness for high heels, the mother of three prioritizes comfort. Lively wore a pair of Converse sneakers to the premiere of the Free Guy film in August 2021.
When she stepped onto the red carpet with hubby Ryan Reynolds, who also stars in the film, she had traded in her sneakers for a pair of Louboutin stilettos, which complemented her flashy Prabal Gurung gown, Judith Leiber purse, and Lorraine Schwartz diamonds flawlessly.
