From Vaani Kapoor In Shamshera To Tamannaah Bhatia In Baahubali: Actresses Who Were Mere ‘Props’ In The Films

Vaani Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, and Tamannaah Bhatia, actresses who were just used as 'mere props' in blockbuster movies

While the audience is gushing over Ranbir Kapoor’s performance, they are criticizing the users for using Vaani Kapoor as a prop in the movie and even claiming that they unnecessarily sexualized her in it. As a result, Ranbir Kapoor’s Shamshera has failed to impress the audience. Although Vaani was thrilled with her part in the movie, several viewers questioned why she was even in it. On the other hand, Sonam Kapoor’s blink-and-miss presence in Coldplay’s music video for “Hymn for the Weekend” astonished her admirers to no end.

She excused herself by saying it was a significant event for her. With over three million followers, Diet Prada reportedly criticized international vogue for utilizing Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone as a “prop” on its April 2019 cover issue. It is alleged to be black and utilized in the magazine as a prop to exalt white. Although Alia Bhatt made a cameo in RRR, the movie was already regarded as a great hit in the south before it ever came out.

The actress in RRR was referred to by many people, including South designer and Oscar winner Resul Pookutty, as a prop. While Alia is extremely appreciative that SS Rajamouli gave her this movie. Tamannaah’s experience with Baahubali may change everything, yet she barely had a voice in the movie. While the movie received praise from critics everywhere, SS Rajamouli came under fire for objectifying Tamannaah in the movie and for sexism in his portrayal of Tamannaah in his blockbuster hit Baahubali.
