Gigi Hadid is in the midst of her Sweetener phase. The supermodel just shared a series of adorable images that show a strong similarity to Ariana Grande, and it’s safe to say that the internet is going crazy.
Gigi released a couple of images from a Moschino campaign, including one in which she is seen wearing heart-shaped sunglasses and holding a heart-shaped lollipop. The photographs have an unmistakable Ariana vibe, thanks to their playful mod-inspired style, which is a personal favorite of Ariana’s.
Gigi has her hair partly up and back for a comparable effect (very I Dream of Jeannie) and wears a short pastel plaid bustier top, tiny skirt, and jacket with matching mint green gloves that would be right at home in Ariana’s collection. The beautiful look is giving Ariana too, from the delicate, passionate cat eye to the exact arched brow and a bright lip.
Fans couldn’t help but notice the resemblances between the two celebrities. “It’s not Ariana Grande or Gigi Hadid; it’s ARIRI GRANDID,” one user tweeted. “Are you telling me that Gigi is Ariana’s twin?” another fan wondered, presenting a side-by-side photo of the two, with Ariana sporting a similar hairdo to Gigi. Others chimed in with their observations in the comments section of her Instagram post. One user remarked, “I literally thought this was Ariana Grande.” Another said, “It’s giving Ariana Grande.”
Ariana hasn’t commented on the photoshoot or Gigi’s doppelganger moment, but she does follow Gigi on Instagram, so it’s conceivable she’s seen the photographs and is planning her own Gigi-style session or IRL twinning event. We can all dream, right?
