Pooja Hegde is a well-known Telugu cinema actress. She made her debut in the industry in 2012 with her movie Mugamoodi. And since then has worked on countless other hits! She made her Bollywood debut back in 2016 with her movie Mohenjo Daro. She starred in the movie alongside Hrithik Roshan. While the actress felt positive about the movie, it didn’t do as well at the box office.
The movie was a period drama narrating the story of the old ruins of Mohenjo-Daro, a historical site. After the movie didn’t do well, the actress was heartbroken! According to a Hindustan Times report, the actress felt really down and had decided to step back from the scene for the time being. But the actress was determined to return with a ‘sturdy second movie’. The actress resumed her work down south. She worked on several different movies before she decided to return to Bollywood with Housefull 4.
The actress opened up about her heartbreak in an interview with Mid-day. She said, “An actor’s first film is their showreel to the world. I was under contract, so I hadn’t signed another film during the period. Its failure was heartbreaking. Eventually, South films came along, and work attracted more work. I held off signing Hindi films because I needed a sturdy second movie. I built on the success of Housefull 4, and here I am!”
