It was on 20th May 2011 when a contemporary rom-com hit the theatres. The movie was different, to say the least. It was youth-centric, focused on bromance and showcased a never before seen take on relationships. But what stole the show was a 5-minute monologue delivered by Rajjo, one of the love-lorn roommates. The cine goers that day didn’t realize that the newest entrant of Tinsel Town, Kartik Aaryan, who played Rajjo, would go on to become a household name.

Kartik Aaryan was launched by Luv Ranjan in a small budget film in 2011 with a bunch of other newcomers, including Nushrat Bharucha. And yet, he managed to leave a mark. His chocolaty, boy next door looks definitely earned him major brownie points with the girls. And he’d already won over the other 50% of the population with his famous monologue about women and relationships.

Since then, he’s been voted ‘Heart-throb of the year 2018’ by Vogue Beauty Awards, he also bagged the Zee Cine ‘Best Actor in a Comic Role’ Award for Sony Ke Titu Ki Sweety.

Fast forward to 2019 – Kartik Aaryan opened 2019 with Luka Chuppi which talks about the taboo of live-in relationships in India. Aaryan crossed the 100-crore mark with this movie.

Social Media exploded when he walked the ramp in Manish Malhotra creation with Kareena Kapoor Khan! He’s already signed films with Sara Ali Khan and Ananya Pandey, two Bollywood star-kids who while visiting the Koffee couch expressed their desires to go on a date with this six-film old actor.

It’s probably his average Indian boy persona that has earned him a massive following of 7.6 million on Instagram. And it is this very following that’ll ultimately translate into more audience the next time one of Kartik Aaryan’s film releases and take him one step further in his journey towards stardom.
