Ranbir Kapoor has millions of followers all around the world, but he recently had a little bit of a fanboy moment when he ran into Hollywood icon Natalie Portman in New York City. In 2016, when he appeared to promote his movie Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, he recounted how they first met on The Kapil Sharma Show.
“I was strolling through New York City. Actually, I was running because I had to use the restroom immediately. She was walking past me while on the phone as I ran in the direction of the hotel. When I realized she was Natalie Portman, I spun around, raced up to her, and I asked for a photo,” he recalled.
Ranbir was eager to take a photo with Natalie but was unaware that she was sobbing. Turning to him aggressively, she commanded, “Get lost, I say!”
Ranbir explained the situation and said that although Natalie yelled at him, it shattered his heart. It did not lessen his admiration for her. “It’s not like this has made me a fan any less than I already am. I’ll ask for a photo with her once more if I run into her tomorrow on the street,” he declared.
