Some Korean dramas can be regarded as some of the best ever produced among the good, the bad, and the ugly. These horror-themed drama series effectively dispel the myth that K-dramas are cloaked in rosy facades of outrageously attractive people falling in love with nothing introspective to offer. They show how the South Korean film industry is not afraid to venture into dark and gritty areas. Particularly when it features charismatic ghost hunters, flesh-eating zombies, and psychopaths with volatile personalities. Here, we’ll be displaying and honoring our favorite shiver-inducing and heart-pounding horrors!

The Guest

The Guest is a possession-based horror that showcases an out-of-the-ordinary alliance, this time between three separate characters, and is unquestionably creepy and well-written. Young psychic Hwa Pyung discovers a potent monster called “son” after being born into a family of shamans (guests). This demon is capable of possessing weak-minded persons as well as other demons.

The Village: Achiara’s Secret

The Village: Achiara’s Secret, which is more mystery than horror, in reality, combines elements from Twin Peaks, Midsomer Murders, and other mystery series of a similar nature to create a small-town horror that gradually tears away at the happy exterior to reveal something extremely uglier and shocking at its core.

Black

In the novel Black, a young woman who has the power to predict death and a detective who has been taken over by the grim reaper stumble onto 20-year-old cold case killings. Any crime junkie who enjoys mystery, terror, and thrills will find Black to be the ideal Halloween binge; it will have you on the edge of your seat.

Save Me

Save Me manages to infiltrate your body and remain there. This psychological suspense story centers on a young woman who is trying to leave the religious cult that her family has become enmeshed in. The plot displays a level of terror that you wouldn’t want to impose on your worst enemy even though it isn’t horror per se. Several news outlets also reported that several of the cast members experienced sleeplessness as a result of the filming, so proceed with extreme caution.

Strange School Tales

Strange School Tales does horror well and makes sure their audience sees enough terrifying scenes and startling moments. With three short plays included in the 12-episode series, this is the ideal Halloween binge for any kind of horror enthusiast. Each movie drama takes place at a high school and tells the story of legends about ancient ghosts and long-buried truths that have only recently come to light.
