Jacqueline Fernandez is a former model and the 2006 winner of the Miss Universe Sri Lanka competition. She began working in Bollywood in 2009, and ever since then, she has established herself there. India refers to Jacqueline as the “Jacq of hearts.” Fernandez, who was raised in Bahrain, was naturally exposed to a mixed-race population that included Canadian, Sri Lankan, and Malaysian people. She entered show business following her graduation from the University of Sydney with a degree in mass correspondence and after working as a T.V. correspondent in Sri Lanka. Speaking to her country at Miss Universe 2006, she represented Miss Universe Sri Lanka 2006. Fernandez was ranked twelve in the U.K. publication Eastern Eye’s list of “Reality’s Attractive Asian Women” in 2008 and 2011. She came in third on the list of the “Most Desirable Woman” published by The Times of India. She was included in Rediff.com’s list of “Bollywood’s Best Dressed Actresses” in 2013. The following year, she held the sixty-second spot on the Forbes’ Celebrity 100 list for India, which is based on the earnings and notoriety of India’s well-known figures.
