Rukmini Maitra is one of the prettiest and most talented actresses. For a long time, she has impressed the audience with her work on the 70mm big screen with popular movies like Cockpit, Password, Kabir, Chaamp, Switzerland, and many more. And now, she’s all set to reach a wider audience and impress big time in her Bollywood debut ‘Sanak’ alongside the ‘champion’ of high-octane action, Vidyut Jammwal.
During an exclusive conversation during an episode of the ‘The Bollywood Talk Show’ on IWMBuzz, when Rukmini was asked about the auspicious timing of her Bollywood debut during Durga Puja, the biggest festival for the Bengali community, she was quoted as saying,
“Oh absolutely. The timing is great and I am happy. I am living a dream. It’s coming around the time when we bid adieu to Maa Durga. So in a way, I would say that after Durga Puja, we will have the ‘Sanak festival’ for you all with this movie.”
When asked further about bonding with Vidyut Jammwal and how she plans to take her career forward from here onwards, she added,
“Oh yes, the entire team has been very kind to me. Vidyut has been extremely supportive and I have felt like home here. I treat all my projects like the first one. It is like a baby for me. So yes, I am super excited and also, I am looking forward to doing good content across all languages, be it Bengali, Hindi or even in the South. I am all up for it.”
