Alia Bhatt, the name needs no introduction. Since her very start as Shanaya in Student Of The Year and now Gangubai Kathiawadi, the actress has truly shone with her impeccable skills so far. However, while the actress has now earned her own foothold in the industry, she has been compared to other actors like Kareena Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone a zillion times, saying she is likely to copy the mentioned stars.
During a press event for the Highway launch, Imtiaz Ali asked Alia Bhatt about her reactions, when being compared to Kareena Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor. Alia said, “I don’t try to copy Kareena. Maybe Shanaya (her character in Student of the Year) and Poo (Kareena’s character in K3G) were similar. Also, I have said that I’m a big fan of Kareena, which is true and I will always remain but I don’t try to copy her at all. I would get irritated if someone else would try to copy her. So why would I copy her?”
Later Ranbir Kapoor, her now-husband when said that Alia has not discovered her style yet and it is a compliment that she is compared with Kareena Kapoor, to this Alia Bhatt got annoyed and said, “I don’t want to be anyone like her. There is only one Kareena Kapoor.”
Imtiaz Ali then compared her to Ranbir Kapoor saying, “Her internal journey reminds me of Ranbir and it’s not a compliment for Alia.” To this Ranbir said to Alia, “Teri bhi lagne wali hai.” as stated in Koi Moi.
On the work front, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are all set for the release of the much-awaited film Brahmastra this year September.
