Harnaaz Sandhu grabbed the globe by storm when she was crowned Miss Universe 2021 earlier this month. After 21 years, the Chandigarh-based actor and model have crowned Miss Universe at the 70th Miss Universe contest in Israel. Sandhu’s words following her win have made headlines, naming her inspirations as prior Indian pageant winners Priyanka Chopra, who won Miss World, Lara Dutta, who won Miss Universe in 2000; and Sushmita Sen, who won the title in 1994, all of whom have made India proud. Sandhu has expressed her admiration for Priyanka and stated that she “would love to” play PeeCee in a film on her life.
Harnaaz was asked to reveal which superstar she would like to play in a hypothetical biographical film in an interview with Bollywood Hungama. Without hesitation, she said, “Priyanka Chopra. I would love to be part of that. I think she has inspired me throughout her journey, and she will keep on inspiring millions of us.”
Harnaaz has been a PeeCee fan for quite some time. A video of her praising the actress had previously gone viral.
Harnaaz has shown interest in a number of roles in the past. After a video of her meowing on stage went viral, she confessed that she would love to join DC as Catwoman. For the uninitiated, host Steve Harvey asked Sandhu to meow, causing outrage among the internet community.
