Joe Manganiello made his acting debut as Flash Thompson in the American superhero movie “Spider-Man” in 2002.
Positive reviews preceded the movie’s release, and it was a huge commercial hit, earning nearly $825 million against a $139 million budget.
Spider-Man (2002)
Spider-Man, a superhero origin story by Sam Raimi released in 2002, follows Peter Parker as he develops from a sharp but extroverted high school newspaper photographer into the recognized web-slinger after being bitten by a radioactive spider. It made $825 million worldwide and primarily focused on Spider-Man’s battles with the insane Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe) and Daily Bugle editor J. Jonah Jameson (J.K. Simmons), but Flash Thompson is Parker’s bitterest enemy in the first few chapters of the story (Joe Manganiello).
Archenemy
Max Fist (Joe Manganiello), a supposed superhero from another dimension who, upon landing on Earth, has lost all of his superpowers, is the subject of the 2020 mystery-thriller Archenemy. Everyone Max encounters views him as a crazy person with a fantastical story, but a young man named Hamster (Skylan Brooks) gives Max a chance and truly believes his story. Max and Hamster set out to rid the neighborhood of a narcotics cartel that was being run by a ruthless and infamous crime boss. Thanks in large part to Manganiello, Archenemy really stretches the boundaries of the superhero action movie.
