A few days ago, Karan Johar was in the news for having acquired the rights of the south superhit movie, ‘Dear Comrade’. The original movie had the ‘Arjun Reddy’ star Vijay Deverakonda in it and Karan Johar is all set to remake the hindi version of the movie. It is to be noted that the remake of Vijay Deverakonda’s ‘Arjun Reddy’, titled ’Kabir Singh’, is the highest grosser of the year so far and it has shattered many records. Both Shahid and Kiara were appreciated, especially Shahid who earned the biggest hit of his career with ‘Kabir Singh’.

Karan Johar is known to have a good eye for production. He has presented ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’ and it helped Dharma Productions earn a lot of riches. Given Vijay Deverakonda’s fame after ‘Kabir Singh’, Karan might well be looking forward to capitalize on Vijay’s fame and produce another movie of him. However as soon as the news of him producing broke out, people started speculating as to who will be the lead cast of the movie. Grapevine did rounds that Ishaan Khattar and Janhvi Kapoor will be working in the hindi version of ‘Dear Comrade’. But all that is hearsay. Karan Johar has clarified with grace that there’s no confirmation yet on the casting and he is still in the process of planning things. Check out why he tweeted –
