Kareena Kapoor has been extremely open and bold with her opinions and she has always stood by them. A recent video shared by the popular YouTube channel, Film Companion, shared glimpses of her talking on film choices, feminism, stardom and more.
Talking about film choices, the actress said that there is an array of content available in the industry. She also affirms the fact that the industry isn’t just male-centric certainly, it depends on an individual to actually go out and choose a film script. She then pulls off her own instance saying, she can choose to do a film like Bajrangi Bhaijaan and then again just a ‘heroine’ oriented film.
Talking about Feminism, she clarifies her statement, where she says that she doesn’t believe in Feminism. She said that she doesn’t believe in the kind of feminism that is being portrayed today. She also says that one doesn’t have to be a social activist to support the movement, whereas it is already viable through her life and work that she is a feminist.
Speaking on stardom, she spoke about how the younger generation is getting used to quick gratification nowadays. However, she believes that everyone should always brace up and prepare for the worse, because that might affect this quick stardom that they are getting.
