Betty Sue Palmer (née Wells), a waitress, and John Christopher Depp, a civil engineer, welcomed their son John Christopher “Johnny” Depp II on June 9, 1963, in Owensboro, Kentucky. Florida served as Depp’s home state. As frontman for several music-garage bands, including one called “The Kids,” he dropped out of school when he was 15. After they married, he accepted a job as a ballpoint pen salesperson to provide for himself and his wife. However, his meeting with actor Nicolas Cage during a trip to Los Angeles, California, with his wife was a blessing in disguise as he was encouraged to pursue acting. This led to Depp’s screen debut in the low-budget horror movie A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984), where he played the title character.
In 1994, when they first met in a New York restaurant, famous British model Kate Moss and actor Johnny Depp began dating. Before calling it quits, the couple was in a four-year relationship. Moss reportedly cried for “years” when their relationship ended. However, at the recent Amber Heard and Johnny Depp trial, the model only had positive things to say about her ex-partner. There had been rumors Amber Heard brought up the subject of Depp pushing Moss down the stairs when they were dating during her evidence, but Moss testified in favor of Depp during the most recent trial and refuted those claims as untrue.
With his “Edward Scissorhands” co-star Winona Ryder, Depp was in one of the most talked-about relationships ever. As a result, Depp received a tattoo that read, “Winona Forever,” while Ryder, also well-known, got engaged, and they were deeply in love. Unfortunately, only three years after they met on the sets of a surrealist movie, the couple’s romance ended in 1993, which was unfortunate for them. As a result, ‘Wino Forever’ has been substituted for the original words on Depp’s tattoo.
Johnny Depp and Amber Heard first connected on the “The Rum Diary” set. The two did not begin dating until 2012 because they were already committed to other people. However, before marriage in 2015, the pair had a long relationship. After that, their turbulent marriage began and lasted for about two years. Heard claimed to have experienced domestic abuse in a Washington Post op-ed that she published after the divorce, alluding to Depp as the abuser while omitting his name. Depp was dropped from many movies because of that op-ed, and eventually, the actor filed a defamation lawsuit against his ex-wife.
