Katrina Kaif during the promotions of Bharat, in 2019, the actress spoke to Filmfare about if she ever misses a father figure in life, for her mother Suzzanne Turquotte got separated from her father and raised single-handedly her and all her siblings. The actress opened up how it did create a vacuum and made her vulnerable, and also added that when she will have kids, she would like to get them fuller experiences of having both the parents.

Talking to Filmfare, the actress said that she does miss a strong male presence in her life, as she grew up without a father, saying, “Not having a father figure does create a certain vacuum and makes any girl feel vulnerable. When I have kids, I want them to have the experience of being with both parents,” said Katrina. She added, “Each time I’ve gone through something emotionally hard, I was compelled to reflect that it must be nice for those who have a strong fatherly support from a male figure, who loves you unconditionally.”

She further added, “I don’t think I did that. People say you are lucky if you can count your true friends on your fingers. My trustworthy, inner circle of friends know me well. They understand where you’re coming from, your fears and your insecurities. Of course, my parents being separated had a part to play. My mom had a family of seven daughters and a son.” as quoted by NDTV.
