Ketki Dave is a well-known actress who has made an impact on her work in Gujarati as well as in Hindi films. Ketki started her career in 1983 with the Bollywood film ‘Kissi Se Na Kehna’. The actress is known to have appeared in over 75 Gujarati films over the span of her acting career. The actress is known for her roles as Daksha Virani in the TV show ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ (2000) which was quite a popular TV show at the time with lead actors including Smriti Irani, Ronit Roy, Mouni Roy, and various other actors.
Her iconic dialogue ‘Arararara’ has become synonymous with her so much so that it has become her trademark style. The actress played the role of Vimla in the film ‘Aamdani Atthanni Kharcha Rupaiya’ (2001) which again helped her gain a lot of appreciation for her work. Ketki has also appeared in the Hindi movie ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’ (2003) in which she played a Gujarati woman and Saif Ali Khan’s mother. Her role as Sarleben Patel made everyone laugh with her witty dialogues. Apart from these iconic roles, Ketki has appeared in TV serials like ‘Yeh Dil Kya Kare’ (2001), Sanjivini (2002), ‘Silsila Badalte Riston Ka’ (2018) and so many other shows. Her Gujarati works include ‘Parnine Pastaya’ ‘Hun Reema Bakshi’ which are play dramas and many such noteworthy performances. The talented actress has also participated in a number of reality shows including ‘Nach Baliye: Season 2’ (2006), ‘Comedy Circus’ (2007), and has also been a participant on Bigg Boss 2. The actress also owns a Gujarati Theatre company with her husband, Rasik Dave.
