Tathagatha Mukherjee is today a well-known Bengali fame who enjoys a massive fan following in West Bengal. But the star has come a long way to reach where he is today. Let us take a quick preview into the journey of this prolific actor. Tathagatha Mukherjee’s journey starts with his debut in the Bengali film ‘Laal Ronger Duniya in (2007)’ as an actor. Later, the actor entered the Bengali TV industry and appeared in the TV show Sada Patay Kalo Daag (2008). But the turning point of his acting career came with his work in the TV show Bou Kotha Kao (2009) in which he played the role of Rudra. The audience simply loved him in the serial.
Tathagatha then gave 2 back to back hits at the box office in the year 2014 with Bengali films ‘Badsahi angti’ and ‘Force’. The actor did not just limit his career to acting but also directed movies. The star formed a production house in 2016 along with his wife Debolina Dutta. The actor made his first directorial debut with Shuyopoka in 2016. Later, Tathagatha also released a short film ‘Geodesy’ which was the only movie to have been selected from West Bengal for the Jio Filmfare in 2017. The script for these movies was written by Tathagatha himself! Apart from this, Tathagatha has also directed web series ‘Waterbottle’ (written by him) and various music videos including ‘Jingle bells qwali’ ‘Holi Bol’ and ‘Make a noise’. On the personal front, the multi-talented star is married to Bengali actor Debolina Dutta in 2014. Tathagatha has studied drama at the Rabindra Bharati University at Kolkata.
